Food was ok, service was ok. Hush puppies were to garlicky.

It was exactly what I expected. Very good . Great service.

Not as good as the first time. Its my second time Too much mayo in the cold slaw. Not enough vinegar need a bit of sugar. I ordered fish hush puppies. Fried zucchini clam chowder. Also two other dinners.

Go to fish and chips place. Lite style better on the fish, so good.

Best fish & chips place in Sacramento. Excellent fish & the fried prawns & hush puppies almost steal the show. Friendly staff, casual dining.

omg i have been going here for about 20yrs now and i tell you this, it does not change the food there is excellent literaly everything they make there is fire my favorite is the fish and the fried zucchini... its a must try if you never have. the the cook and the lady at the front are very frindly i love them

Fish moist and tender inside, and the batter stays crunchy even getting takeout and traveling home. We went back just a few days later because we enjoyed it so much.

We love Tug Boat the food is delicious. The fish is crispy and not soggy. The family that owns it are so friendly.

I hate to say this because I like their waiter dude, very nice people. But their fish is tasteless, with too much batter on fish and calamari. Fries are tasteless and dry too, with a hard bite unlike the crisp crunchy bite people look for. I am very dissapointed because the google rating seems to be quite excellent but their food do not live up to it at all.

I ordered a combination of menu items like calamari and hushpuppies. I only recommend the fish and chips on rare occasions.

This is a delicious, quality fish and chips restaurant. They offer a wide range of fried fish and seafood that can feed just one or several at very affordable prices. If you're in the area for lunch or dinner, it's worth checking out. Side note: Their hours are 11am to 8pm right now due to the pandemic, but it should be returning to 11-9 once they can again. Just something to remember!

Fast service but the food was disgusting and it had no flavor, but the fish was really disgusting and didn't even look look fish inside. Did not eat but one bite. Big servings though.

Well on August 5th I happened upon Tugboat Fish and Chip Star Theater and guess what August 6th I was back in there love their fish and a lumpia and their spring rolls

This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I I need a superb lunchon, this place comes straight to my head. fresh and all kinds of food and a rich menu.helpful staff members, and good atmosphere. Also important, the cost is modest. I suggest this place with great pleasure.

Nice little location for some Seafood, but it’s nothing special. As an update, they don’t have Red Snapper anymore, as one of the pictures would suggest. They only have: Pollock, Catfish & Tilapia. My gripe is with the portion of fish (Pollock) I received. I only got one long piece & two small chicken nugget sized pieces which was horrible. I mean, why couldn’t I get normal sized pieces? The Wife who took my order wasn’t nice or mean, but some type of demeanor in-between. In closing, I’ll try to find a different location for similar food before going there again. If I fail, THEN I’d go there again, reluctantly. Lol

The food was good and hot and fresh. They charge extra for everything. I understand the reason why, but it’s still a turn off. Why not just charge the rate you want for your food instead of charging more for the extras? Since when did tartar sauce on my hush puppies become ‘extra’, these things used to be standard when we sit down for our meals. Love this place and have been taking my family for years and we used to go as a family with my parents when we were kids. Makes it hard to spend my money there after the way I felt the day we sat down and ate.There’s an old saying...’it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it’

London style fish and chips...need I say more? Everything here is made to order, hot and fresh. The parking is somewhat limited but still worth the trouble. I really enjoy eating at totally non fancy joints with great food. This is that type of joint.

OMG my first time ordering from this place and I was so more than satisfied and asked my family what they thought about the food and they would definitely order from here again,it's so hard finding a place that makes deep fried battered seafood and chicken the way that we like it,but now we will become Tugboat Fish & Chips regulars.

Came in today about 2 hours ago. The employee who greeted me was named Phil. He is an ideal employee if it wasn't for him and his hospitality and of course good food I would of went to another fish and chips place. Now tugboat will be my go to place. They serve big fish which amazed me reminds me of back home in Long Beach CA of another fish and chips place except these people were very hospitable. All fish is halal and they respected me regardless of my faith.The guy complimented my dog who I had to leave outside but his hospitality made up for it.
